Your Ring Size

Metal objects can be measured exactly, since your finger is flesh and bone not round, it cannot be measured with the same degree of accuracy as a ring.

As a rule of thumb, your dominant hand is usually 1/2 size larger. If you are right handed and have a size 8 ring that fits your left hand it is a reasonable guess an 8 1/2 will fit the right hand. However, your finger size is prone to change with temperature, humidity, and exercise, what you have been eating, time of day, time of the month, pregnancy and other factors. Avoid measuring cold fingers, this is when they are the smallest.

Wide band rings are more comfortable a little looser than narrow band rings. Your ring should fit snugly but comfortably and give a little resistance when you take it off.
